Material Metamorphosis is a concept that promotes upcycling discarded textiles and inspires mindful, zero-waste design. Metamorphosis enables the continuous transformation of textiles into new items. Transformations, made possible through various craft techniques, show the endless potential and versatility of the materials. I use material narratives to develop the metamorphosis concept and to forge connections between myself, my materials and the audience. Each transformable, modular garment below is made from discarded clothes and theatre costumes.
